Comment System Up
March 10th, 2008

Not too much to report on in the Linux world today, but I have been making a few updates to the site. I've finally got a functional comment system up and running for the blog, even though I doubt it will get put to use any time soon. It actually wasn't as hard to make as I thought it would be. I'm trying to stick to my original game plan by not using any pre-made scripts. I'm attempting to do it all myself by hand. So far its been working out pretty good. There is still a few things I need to do, but its all coming together nicely. I'm not sure if I want a comment area for the tutorials, though. The tutorials can get pretty long sometimes and it might clutter up the page. Maybe I'll add a small forum to the site later for that purpose.

My next update will come with at least one new tutorial. I'll probably head in the direction of eye-candy for a while, because I've found many new Linux users want the ability to customize their workspace. I can definitely relate, as I find myself changing the desktop wallpaper quite often. Hopefully soon we'll get to some explinations of compiz, conky, and whatever else.
